This beer is part of Lakewood’s Seduction series, which are flavored beers based off of their Temptress stout. Over the course of this challenge, I will be drinking each of them, and I thought this one fit in pretty well with Valentine’s day today. Temptress is my favorite stout and, in my opinion, all these variants improve on an already excellent beer. This may be the weakest of the variants, and it’s still great. The raspberry flavor is not overwhelming but just acts as a perfect compliment to the chocolate and vanilla flavors in the Temptress. 2016 was the last year that they sold these in 22 oz. bombers. Starting this year, they are now available in 12 oz 4 packs so it’ll be easier to have them on a regular basis, which I suggest you do.
It’s Valentine’s Day! (not sure of the source here but these are funny)
There is a lot going on with the Trump administration, starting with the resignation (firing?) of National Security Adviser Flynn. At 24 days, his tenure is the shortest in the history of that position, but the real question might be how did he last that long? Even if you can believe that Flynn was working alone, the White House was warned as early as the 26th of January that Flynn spoke to the Russian ambassador about the US sanctions against Russia and that he could be subject to blackmail by Russia. Yet Trump held on to this information and acted like there was no problem until this week when this information leaked out to the public. In fact, he continued to allow Flynn to participate in sensitive intelligence briefings as recently as yesterday.
In other news, the government ethics office has recommended that the White House act against Kellyanne Conway for her promotion of Ivanka Trump’s clothing line last week. Unfortunately, enforcement is entirely in the hands of the White House here, so unless Trump decides to do something, we may not hear anything else about this.
Finally, Trump adviser Steve Bannon’s website Breitbart published an article blaming Trump chief of staff Reince Priebus for not shutting down all of the leaks coming out of the White House. Now Bannon is no longer officially a part of Breitbart, but when the source for their article is someone with “knowledge of White House operations”, it’s not much of a stretch to come to the conclusion that Bannon wants Priebus out of that job.
All of this could just be the tip of the iceberg. Trump and everyone else is denying that they knew anything about Flynn’s calls with the Russian ambassador. If it comes out that Trump did know, and lied about it, then the whole administration could come crumbling down. *fingers crossed*
