This is the first of about 6 beers that I will drink from Prairie during this challenge. Their stouts are among the best in the world so I stocked up. This is the only one that I have that isn’t a stout. It’s a brown ale and it’s good, but it’s a bit odd. Although coffee goes well with a lot of different types of beer, it tastes a little bit off with this whiskey barrel aged brown ale.
It seemed like there was no cabinet nominee that the Senate would not confirm, but that was proven wrong today when Labor Secretary nominee Andrew Pudzer withdrew his name from consideration when several Republicans came out stating their opposition to his nomination. As Hardee’s CEO, he was accused of mistreating workers and expressed his desire to replace workers with robots. I’m not sure that makes him less qualified than Betsy DeVos was for Secretary of Education, but maybe he hadn’t donated enough money to Republican Senators.
Tonight, the Wall Street Journal posted an article stating that the intelligence communities are withholding information from the administration due to concerns that the administration is compromised. If true, this is frightening. The country cannot work this way!
