Back on New Years Eve in 2014, Michelle and I were out and about at a party. I was worn out and ready to go home, when our group happened on a little brewery that I did not even know existed at that point. We walked into Small Brewpub and I ordered their English IPA, which was my first beer of 2015. Until today, that is the only beer of theirs that I had. This beer is a pilsner, which is a style that I have not yet had in this challenge. I’ve had a couple beers in this style that are OK, but it’s not usually something that I would seek out. I thought I would give this one a try, though, because the addition of black pepper sounded interesting. As it turns out, that’s the perfect addition to the beer, and this is probably the best pilsner that I’ve ever had. In addition to a strong pepper taste, which had a bit of spiciness that I can still taste in my mouth long after the beer is gone, there is also coriander. Everything works together perfectly to make a great beer. Unlike almost every other beer in this challenge, this beer could work for everyday drinking, and would be wonderful while poolside or on the beach. Unfortunately it is available on draft only for now.
The issue of Trump’s tax returns has been going on long before the election. It’s customary for candidates to release them, and he has refused. His refusal doesn’t prove anything, but makes it seem like there is something he is hiding, possibly about his ties to Russia. In an attempt to gain access to the returns, House Democrats forced a vote on a resolution to request Trump’s returns, but it failed. No Republicans voted in favor. The House Republicans are complicit in hiding Trump’s potential crimes.
