Well, it’s well past Christmas, but I’m still not sure if we’re allowed to say Feliz Navidad anymore in Trump’s America. For all I know, this beer may be illegal now. The first beer I ever had from Buffalo Bayou was their Gingerbread Stout back on Christmas Day 2013. Now, over 3 years later, I’m trying this variant on that original which has ancho chilies added in. I think that it’s an improvement over the original, which was interesting but not quite my style. The chilies add a little spiciness which amplifies the ginger flavor. I love ginger, so it works for me. I don’t know if I’d drink this one again, but I’m glad I got to try it before it gets outlawed (or renamed Merry Christmas).
It’s been a long week of crap from Trump but I’ll keep this one short because I’m exhausted by it all. As exhausted as I am, Trump will likely be well rested. By the end of this weekend, he will have been at Mar-a-Lago for 14 days, which is 31% of his presidency. Whoever owns that hotel is getting a tons of free money and publicity.
