So Michelle told me that this innocent looking beer has a name that betrays it (feel free to google “merkin” if you’d like). This beer is great. It is probably the mildest and lowest ABV barrel aged beer I’ve ever had, but it’s not a bad thing. I don’t know why, but I taste a bit of coconut or something a bit toasty, along with vanilla and a mild bourbon flavor. The flavor overall is pretty light for a stout, but perfectly balanced. Nearly perfect.
After Trump’s address this past Tuesday, many were saying that he was now acting presidential. This morning, he sent out a series of tweets accusing Obama of wiretapping Trump tower this past October (Obama did no such thing… if it happened it would have been initiated by the DOJ with a warrant). At the end of that stream of tweets, he sent a final one making fun of Arnold Schwarzenegger. And, on top of everything else that has happened since Tuesday, I hope that we can permanently put to rest any thought that this man is presidential.
