Beer Notes

In Greek mythology, the river Acheron was known as the river of woe.  It was said to border hell.  I don’t know what the water in hell would taste like, but maybe it tastes like this.  This beer is dark as hell, and the whiskey flavor is strong.  I taste chocolate in it too, but the whiskey drowns out almost everything else.  The beer was aged in barrels from Whitherspoon distillery in Lewisville, TX which isn’t too far from here.  I’ll have to give their whiskey a try!

Other Thoughts

Trump’s new travel ban was supposed to go into effect tonight at midnight, but it was blocked this afternoon by a judge in Hawaii.  Trump care isn’t looking like it’s in good shape either.  Is there any other presidency that has suffered so many failures so early on? As Trump would say, “Sad!”
