This one has the right name. This beer is where color goes to die (outside of a thin dark khaki head). The flavor is interesting. I don’t know if I’ve ever had a stout quite like this. There is a very dark roasted coffee flavor accompanied by licorice and some molasses. It’s a little sweet but the roastiness (maybe not a word) of it dominates everything else. It’s thick, strong, and goes down smooth. I had their Collage #2 earlier in the challenge, and I may have liked it more, but lets call it a tie. They are both very good!
This is the start of the my final 10 countdown. Including today, I will be drinking the very best beers I’ve purchased from 9 different breweries, and I will finish it off with a very special Texas brew. In retrospect, I should have drank all these first, because there was no guarantee that civilization would last this long with Trump in charge. Hopefully we can hang on until at least the 29th so I can try all of these!
