Roundup – Thanksgiving Hangover

Posted by

Today is the day that we started decorating for Christmas and I haven’t paid any attention to the news today so this will be a quick one.

Beer of the Day

Today’s beer is a Pumpkin Spice Latte Double Milkshake IPA from Tired Hands Brewing in Ardmore, PA. If you couldn’t tell from the name, this beer is trying to do a lot, and for the most part it does succeed but it’s pretty strange.  It’s definitely fruity and a little bitter like an IPA but there is also some pumpkin and cinnamon in there. It’s a smooth, creamy beer as well.  But in the end, it’s just a little bit weird.  All the parts work well on their own, but it’s not something I’d want to drink regularly.

Shot of the Day

In early October, we filled a bottle half way up with candy corn and then topped it off with vodka. Until today, we had not been brave enough to do shots of it but finally tried it tonight. I was a bit worried this would be completely terrible but realized that, by volume, the shot is probably 30-40% pure liquid candy corn and it probably would be pretty sweet. It was incredibly sweeet, with a strong honey flavor. Also, we still have Halloween decorations out. Swapping them for Christmas this weekend.

Tweets of the Day

These were from yesterday, but it’s pretty incredible.

Final Thoughts

I think I’m almost out of pumpkin beers. Christmas beers coming soon!

      1. Haha yeah, I had some homemade Polish bimber this year which my mate claimed was over 90 %. Just 1 sip would make my mouth run completely dry. Crazy stuff. 😀
